Progress continues on the new 5/6 building which is located south of Prairie Point Middle School. Below is a Fall 2022 Construction Update on the new 5/6 building which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2023.
Fall 2022 Construction Update
- Site work complete by end of October
- Concrete curb and gutter compete at roads by the end of October
- Installation of base coat of asphalt ongoing and will be complete by early November
- Painting of walls started September and will be ongoing through November
- Started installation of acoustical ceiling grid in classroom neighborhoods
- Rough-in of electrical, plumbing and HVAC duct ongoing
- Installation of bathroom tile at classroom neighborhoods to be completed by the end of October
Coming up in the Next Few of Months
- Wood casework to begin in classroom neighborhoods
- Start-up HVAC equipment in classroom neighborhoods
- Installation of lights in classroom neighborhoods
- Installation of gym equipment
