College Community Schools Crisis and Safety Prevention and Response Activities
At College Community Schools, student and staff well-being is our top priority. We take a proactive approach to safety through continuous improvement and collaboration. Here’s how we’re working to ensure a safe learning environment for everyone:
District-Wide Safety Committee: For over five years, we’ve had a dedicated Crisis Response Planning Committee that includes police, fire, emergency management, educators, administrators, board members, parents, and students. This committee works together to proactively identify and prepare for potential risks, emergencies, disasters, and threats.
Ongoing Safety Improvements: The College Community School District is constantly evaluating and updating our safety plans and security measures. We’ve invested significant time and resources in recent years to address these needs. Below is a portion of safety and security improvements and upgrades over the past few years .
- Upgraded Security Cameras
- Developed District-Wide Emergency Response Protocol
- Created a District Safety Task Force
- Secure Building Entrance Upgrades
- On Boarded Crisis Go
- Completed School by School Threat Assessment
- Improvements to Building Intercom Systems
