A group of 55 freshman students from the 9th Grade Center visited the University of Iowa today as part of their post-secondary exploration journey. This was the third of four planned visits to the university.
Overall, 380 students from the 9th Grade Center have signed up for a variety of post-secondary experiences, including visiting a small four-year college, a public university, junior college, vocational trades, and apprenticeships.
“Exposing our students to a variety of options help them understand the diverse pathways that are available to them after high school,” said 9th Grade Center School Counselor Lisa Cox. “These experiences are invaluable as they start to think about possible future careers.”
