Congratulations to Alexis Brink and Ella Rieck who participated in UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Signing Day which was held at the Kirkwood Regional Center in Hiawatha.  These students are participating in Kirkwood’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Academy. The signing day was to kick off their jobs as Patient Care Techs at UnityPoint-St. Lukes.

“We are excited for our students to have this opportunity to connect their classwork to the workplace,” said District Administrator Eric Townsley, “As our school district continues to expand learning opportunities for our students through our Prairie Ready initiative, this program fits very well into our strategic work.”

Prior to the signing, representatives from Grant Wood AEA, Kirkwood Community College and UnityPoint-St. Lukes spoke about this new program and partnership between Kirkwood, GWAEA, Unity Point-St Lukes and area school districts.
