Prairie Rise

Prairie Rise 1

Prairie Rise Alternative Program is considered a K-12 special school placement with a therapeutic approach, designed to serve ONLY students who are eligible to receive services in special education. These students will be referred to as “eligible individuals” for the remainder of this document.  Facilities that serve both eligible individuals and students who are not eligible for special education services are not considered special schools for the purpose of meeting this requirement.

Prairie Rise serves K-12 resident district students who fall on the District Developed Service Delivery Plan continuum of services as needing a restrictive model for students with behavioral needs. Placement based on a data driven IEP team decision.

  • K-12 Setting Therapeutic Approach through Teach to Heal Consulting
  • Life Space Crisis Intervention Model
  • A referral process and criteria will support the decision
  • Max capacity of 20 seats at the setting
  • All services provided at Prairie Rise location
  • Edgenuity Instructional Model combined with project based learning
  • Tanager Shared Therapy Services
  • Transitional programs with integration back to comprehensive school setting

At Prairie Rise, we operate on a therapeutic model, ensuring that students feel supported, valued, and empowered in every aspect of their educational journey.

Our dedicated, experienced educators and staff work tirelessly to develop individualized learning plans, offering personalized attention that addresses both academic challenges and personal growth. By creating a safe, nurturing environment, we help students build resilience, develop emotional intelligence, and cultivate a love for lifelong learning. Together, we strive to enhance not only student achievement but also their overall well-being. Prairie Rise exemplifies the belief that education is not just about mastering subjects, but about unlocking every student’s full potential and fostering their development into confident, capable individuals.
