WHAT PRAIRIE PARENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT SMART SOCIAL: Check out what Prairie Parents are saying about Smart Social.

“Great platform to help minimize screen time. Was informed by school district about this resource. Our family has a lot of YouTube and Roblox screen time that we need to reduce.”

“Our family struggles with educating the kids on what not to share and who not to trust on social media. This is such a great resource for parents!”

“I just checked it out briefly for the first time, but will definitely be spending more time exploring. I love the information on the dangerous hashtags, the common emojis, teen slang, etc.

“Social media is a scary thing these days and any help a parent can get to help keep their kids safe and be aware of what’s going on is great.”

“I learned more about apps I am unfamiliar with like Telegram and Signal. I also had not thought about the ability to use the Notes app or Google Docs to create disappearing messages. I look forward to increasing our conversations around social media usage to help our child stay safe online and be an ally for his friends and school.”

“I watched one of the videos with my kids about social media safety.”

“I do believe screen time is very very concerning and would like access to multiple resources to be sure us as parents are educated on the benefits and concerns/risks.”

“I talked with my kids about secret slang. I also enjoyed learning about video game slang.”

“My family struggles with maintaining a balance between staying connected on social media and protecting our privacy. I learned from SmartSocial how to better protect my family’s privacy on social media by using proper privacy settings and staying informed about online safety.”
