High School Team

Nearly 1,800 archers from more than 120 Iowa schools participated in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) state tournament on March 4-5 in Des Moines.  For the season, more than 4,500 Iowa archers participated in the program running from December through February.  Prairie has 165 participants and from those, 52 archers qualified and were selected to attend the state tournament.

Placement in the state tournament has advanced the teams to the national tournament in Louisville, Kentucky, in May.

Bullseye Tournament Results:
High School Team – 1st of out of 32 (Undefeated all Season)
Middle School Team – 3rd out of 30 (Beat the Previous School Record by 35 Points)
Shayla McDaniel – 3rd out of 370

Kylie Bock – 10th out of 293

3D Tournament Results:
High School Team – 3rd out of 22
Middle School Team – 7th out of 21
Shayla McDaniel 8th out of 162
Chase Nelson – 10th out of 183
Kylie Bock – 7th out of 125

    Additional individual awards were earned:
    Sky Murillo earned a spot on the Bullseye All-State Team
    Shayla McDaniel and Sydney Nelson earned a spot on the the 3D All-State Team
