PHS 3

On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, Junior students will take the ACT exam in school. This exciting opportunity gives our students a chance to measure their readiness for life after high school, whether they’re going to college, into the workforce, or something else.

Taking the ACT can help students get into college; it provides information on careers they might enjoy; and ACT scores can lead to scholarship and financial aid opportunities. Visit to the ACT College and Career Planning page for more information.

Even though the Iowa Board of Regents recently made test optional permanent at the state universities, they did not change the Regent Admission Index.  That means that, if a student wants to be considered for automatic admission to one of the state universities, they still need an ACT score.

Parents are asked to register their Junior at the following link to participate in our 1st Annual Free ACT Examination Day. This ACT examination will be paid for by the College Community School District. If you do not wish to have your Junior take the ACT exam you may opt out. Please click on the following link to sign your Junior up for this exam or to opt out  – ACT Registration/Opt Out Link by Friday, September 30, 2022.

We are excited to provide this new opportunity to our Prairie High School Junior students; if you would have any questions please contact us at 319.848.5340 or email khawley@crprairie.org.
