Students in the iJAG (Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates) program at Prairie High School and Prairie Delta have been recognized at the state level in the first year of the program.  iJAG is based on a national program that helps students discover their individual talents, develop skills, and seize opportunities to achieve their personal potential and prepare for post-secondary transitions.

Each year, iJAG hosts the Career Development Conference(CDC) in Des Moines which brings in businesses across the state of Iowa to judge iJAG projects that were selected to present in the following seven categories: Business Plan, Employability Skills, Business Literacy, PBL Showcase, L.O.V.E Project, Prepared Speaking, and Career Readiness.

Eleven students were selected to represent Prairie at the CDC in 4 different categories based on submission videos. iJAG President and State Student Ambassador: Tre’onna Herr- Williamson
Prepared Speaking: Sisi Christine
Business Plan: Max Sexton, Ashanti Mendez, Taylor Metz
