PACE
College Community School District’s program for students in grades 1-3 is called PACE, which is Primary Activities for Challenge and Enrichment.
To determine eligibility for this program, the elementary differentiation specialists look at achievement data, such as MAP scores and Iowa Assessment scores, teacher recommendation, KOI Inventories, and collect data using SAGES reasoning and PACE math assessments.
At the end of each year, we gather and analyze data as students change and grow to establish groups for the upcoming year. We also gather additional data at the start of the year for some groups. Students in PACE groups may change from year to year based on this process.
The Elementary Differentiation Specialists will continue to collect data and will meet throughout the year to review students who demonstrate a need beyond the differentiation already occurring in classrooms.
