Prairie High School sent two teams to Indiana University last month to compete in the Future Problem Solving International Conference, held June 10-14, 2026.
In the Senior Division, the team of Aleena Wittenburg, Maddy Weber, and Sam Dahlem earned a 20th-place finish, representing a strong showing against competitors from around the world. This is the second time this team has competed at the International level.
The school’s Middle Division team, made up of Lily Jaeger, Benjamin Pieper, Hunter Hasselmann, and Divin Etchi, placed 50th in their division. This is the first time this team has advanced to Internationals.
Aleena Wittenburg was selected to represent the State of Iowa by carrying the flag in the Opening Ceremony.
Congratulations to all seven students on a well-earned achievement! Led by Coach Erin Hoffman, both teams spent the season sharpening the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to compete at the international level.
