The Prairie Summit YMCA project represents the culmination of a thirty-year vision to bring an aquatic facility to our students, a vision that has grown into a multi-generational hub for wellness, connection, and school programming.

While our construction team has been working diligently, the project has faced challenges common in the current building climate, including significant storm damage in early March. To ensure the facility meets our high standards, the College Community School District has shifted its target opening from this spring to August 2026. This adjusted timeline ensures we are fully prepared to welcome the community for the 2026-2027 school year and the inaugural season of the Prairie High School Swimming and Diving teams.

How can you support this project? We encourage families within the College Community School District to register for their YMCA membership today. CCSD residents and staff receive a 30% discount. While your one-year membership contract term won’t officially begin until the Prairie Summit YMCA opens, your benefits start the moment you sign up granting you access to any YMCA location immediately. Those interested in a monthly membership can utilize the 30% discount now and utilize any YMCA locations.
