Construction Update

Construction at the Prairie Summit YMCA continues to move steadily forward, with noticeable progress happening both inside and out. Work is advancing on building enclosure as curtain wall glazing begins across multiple elevations, bringing the facility closer to being fully enclosed and weather-tight.

Inside the building, activity is increasing in the aquatics areas as crews install major mechanical equipment, waterproofing systems, ductwork, and begin concrete pool deck pours. These behind-the-scenes systems are essential to creating safe, durable, and welcoming pool environments for future members.

Elsewhere, the Turf and Basketball areas are transitioning into drywall finishing and painting, marking a visible shift from structural work to interior finishes. Locker room construction is also ramping up, with progress on tile, painting, lighting, plumbing fixtures, HVAC finishes, and casework that will soon define the look and feel of these spaces.

Overall, the project continues to transition from core construction to the finished environments that will support recreation, wellness, and community connection at the Prairie Summit YMCA.
