Members of the Prairie Point 8th grade band achieved remarkable success! On December 7th, several members were selected for the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters Association (NEIBA) Honor Band. They spent the day rehearsing with a renowned music educator and then performed in a concert that afternoon.

In addition, three students earned the prestigious honor of being selected for the Iowa Bandmasters Association (IBA) All-Iowa 8th Grade Honor Band, with two as alternates. This is the highest accolade an 8th grader can receive in Iowa. These exceptional students will represent Prairie Point Middle School at the annual IBA Conference in Des Moines.

These students will have the unique opportunity to learn from a nationally recognized composer and educator, culminating in a concert for families and band directors from across the state.
