A pinning ceremony was held last night for College Community School District’s Healthcare Pathway students who passed their Iowa Nursing Assistant State Examination. During the ceremony, students received a Certified Nurses Assistant pin and Prairie orange stethoscope.
The 2023-2024 school year was the first full year the CNA program has been offered on campus. To date, 34 students have passed the CNA state examination through the District’s onsite Healthcare Pathways program.
At the ceremony, Dr. Wheeler spoke about the advantages of having this opportunity available on campus to help eliminate barriers students may have in enrolling in dual credit college courses.
