BPA

Prairie High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter competed in the annual State Conference in Des Moines in February.  BPA is the leading CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing careers in finance, marketing, business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields. BPA has more than 51,000 members in over 2,300 chapters in 23 states.

Prairie’s chapter sent 60+ participants to State. We had an amazing performance with 59 chapter members competing against 500 students State-Wide. Prairie had 54 students make it “on stage” (either in the top 6 or top 10 depending on the event), while 46 students ultimately qualified for Nationals! Following State, we are preparing for the National Leadership Conference in Chicago in May. Special congratulations to Corryn Rausch who is the newly elected State President.

BPA is a “co-curricular” organization that supports business and information technology educators by offering curriculum based on national standards.
