Congratulations to Prairie junior Marys Kapinga who was elected to represent her peers as president for the State of Iowa IJAG (Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates).
As President, Kapinga will represent over 8,200 iJAG students across Iowa, advocating for their needs and providing guidance. “Marys is a dedicated leader who is passionate about empowering her peers,” said IJAG teacher OJ Payne. “She encourages students to volunteer, give back to their communities, and reach their full potential through iJAG.”
In addition to her role with iJAG, Kapinga is an active member of Future Now and the National Honor Society at Prairie High School.
