College Community Schools is excited to announce the hiring of Andrew Davis as Assistant Activities Director for grades 7-12 pending Board approval. 

Davis, a native of Wapello, Iowa is in his 23rd year with the District.  He is currently the Associate Principal with additional duties of coordinating activities for Prairie Point Middle School and 9th Grade Academy.  The new full-time position, which will begin on July 1, was created to specifically support all 7-12 district activities. As participation continues to grow, this position will help expand opportunities for students.

“We are very excited to have Andrew in this new position,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Wheeler. “His abilities, communication skills and his connections to students, staff, and our community will be essential in coordinating athletics, fine arts, and our school clubs.  His commitment to supporting the growth and success of our students through meaningful extracurricular experiences will serve our vision of Success for All.”

Davis received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa, earned a Master’s in Teaching and Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Saint Mary and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Iowa.

“I am honored and privileged for this opportunity to help support and enhance student experiences for those who participate in extracurricular activities and clubs,” said Davis. “ I am excited to build positive relationships and celebrate student and program achievements with our entire school community.”

Andrew and his wife Carrie have two boys who attend Prairie Point, Dade is in 9th grade and Beckett is in 8th.
