A great day of helping others! Students involved in Prairie’s Future Now Program volunteered this morning at Together We Achieve. Together We Achieve is a Non-profit food pantry that serves over 7,000 families a year.

Future Now is a strategy in the College Community School District that focuses on vision casting; creating opportunities for students to see their future selves today.  The point of the Future Now effort is to get more students involved in the many offerings, opportunities, and resources that the school district provides.  “Students that are fully engaged in our school community achieve more academically and are better prepared for life after high school,” said Future Now Coordinator Sam Black.

Future Now is open to all students in grades 7-12. Future now meets at Prairie Point Middle School on Wednesday mornings from 7:50 to 8:20 am, Prairie High School on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 10:30 am and Prairie Delta on Fridays from 11:50 to 12:20 pm.
