Congratulations to 2021 Prairie graduate Ayva Bohr who placed 2nd in the Employment Skills CDE at the National FFA Convention held in Indianapolis October 26-30.  Ayva competed against over a thousand other members from across the United States.

“She represented Cedar Rapids Prairie and Iowa extremely well,” said FFA teacher Erica Baier. “We couldn’t be more proud of her, her accomplishments and commitment to our program and her own success.”

College Community Schools launched the Prairie Agriculture and FFA program in the fall of 2020 with exploratory courses being offered to students at Prairie Point Middle School and an Introduction to Ag course to students at Prairie High School. With expanded course offerings, today there are approximately 200 students involved in our Prairie Agriculture and FFA program.

Last April, Prairie was well represented at the State Leadership Conference with many of our students placing in the top 10. Prairie’s FFA Chapter also received the Newly Chartered Chapter Award.
