The College Community School District celebrated its Healthcare Pathway students with a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) pinning ceremony on Wednesday evening. The event honored 28 students who successfully passed the Iowa Nursing Assistant State Examination, each receiving a CNA pin and a signature Prairie orange stethoscope to mark the achievement.
The 2023-2024 school year was the first school year the CNA program has been offered on campus. To date, approximately 115 students have passed the CNA state examination through the District’s onsite Healthcare Pathways program.
“Having this program available on the Prairie campus eliminates barriers and opens doors and opportunities for our students,” said College Community School District Superintendent Dr. Doug Wheeler.
