The Mississippi Valley Conference named Cedar Rapids Prairie and Iowa City Liberty the winners of the 2025-26 Cliff Brees Winter Sportsmanship Award on Wednesday. The honor reflects top rankings from varsity officials in basketball and wrestling programs across both divisions.

“This honor reflects the collective character of our programs and our entire school community,” said Activities Director Andrew Davis. “Our student athletes showed up every night with a commitment to competing the right way. I am incredibly proud of our coaches, athletes and fans for exhibiting this kind of leadership.”

Cedar Rapids Prairie has won the MVC Sportsmanship Award 13 during their tenure in the MVC.
