Congratulations to Bridgette Andersen who was presented with the KCRG A+ in Education Award, recognizing excellence in education. Mrs. Andersen has taught in the College Community School District for 29 years and is a social studies teacher at Prairie Delta. 

During this time, she has taken on leadership roles, offered college and workplace learning experiences, and has been a coach in the district. Mrs. Andersen continually finds meaningful ways to support and engage students at Prairie Delta, both inside and outside of her classroom.

Each year, she brings in donated school supplies and creates hands-on, enriching activities for all learners. She has played a key role in project-based learning initiatives, including projects that have benefited Honor Flight, Camp Courageous, and Together We Achieve. Recognizing the needs within her building, she started a student council and has offered a photography class so students could explore new interests.
