All State Musicians (1)

On Saturday, October 25, a total of 41 students representing the Prairie High School Music Department traveled to Independence, Iowa, to perform in the annual I.H.S.M.A. 2025 Iowa All-State Music Festival auditions. Nearly 4,000 students from throughout the state auditioned at one of six district sites. Approximately 17% of the students who audition were selected to perform in the 277-piece All-State Band, the 220-piece All-State Orchestra, or the 601-voice All-State Chorus.

Performers will rehearse with acclaimed guest conductors in Ames on November 20-22, followed by the All-State Music Festival’s Final Concert in Hilton Coliseum on the campus of Iowa State University.
