Big changes are taking place at the Prairie Summit YMCA project — though not all of them are visible from the road these days. The most notable exterior progress includes the asphalt parking lot and road extensions, which are nearing completion along with the installation of parking lot light poles.
Inside, the Myrtha recreation pool structure is nearly complete, and the final concrete slabs have been poured to allow Myrtha crews to begin assembling the competition pool next week.
Throughout the rest of the building, crews are busy installing overhead mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems. Curtain wall framing is also being set around the exterior, helping to close in the building before winter weather arrives.
