On Friday, March 1, Prairie Heights Elementary buzzed with excitement as students embarked on an adventure of learning through the world of STEAM! STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

There was a lot of energy throughout the school as students collaborated, problem-solved, and unleashed their creativity. Students had a chance to experience demonstrations or hands-on experiences with community members from the University of Northern Iowa, University of Iowa, Kirkwood Community College, Prairie High School Agriculture, Grant Wood AEA, area firefighters, and so much more.

A big thank you to all who supported STEAM Day at Prairie Heights Elementary and helped foster a love for exploration and discovery.
