Congratulations to Shelby Reed who recently completed graduation requirements through Prairie Edge, a program within the College Community School District.  Shelby’s plans are to attend a Community College with a focus area in psychology. 

Shelby is the first student to complete graduation requirements at Prairie Edge this school year.  She had the opportunity to participate in the re-envisioned model that allows for an individualized, therapeutic approach to learning. Through the changes at Prairie Edge, the program promotes success by re-engaging students in school with a safe, supportive setting and smaller class sizes.

When asked what graduating from high school meant to her, Shelby shared, “I’m thankful to have the opportunity to graduate. It gave me the chance to go to college and get a job that I want.”

Prairie Edge is a K-12 Alternative School located on the Four Oaks campus.
