All Prairie Point 9th graders participated in Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa’s Career Inspire event today held at the Alliant Energy Power House in downtown Cedar Rapids. Approximately 20 schools and over 2,000 students attended the two-day event which consisted of 68 hands on activities.

Career Inspire offers 9th grade students the opportunity to learn about careers from industry representatives and explore first-hand Eastern Iowa industries. The event brings together the business community and local schools and is designed to help students think about their futures beyond high school. The Career Inspire event allows students to participate in hands-on activities, often using equipment or tools used on a job.
