Progress continues on the new 5/6 building which is located south of Prairie Point Middle School. Below is a July 2022 update on the new 5/6 building which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2023.

JULY 2022 UPDATE:
- 95% Brick Installed
- Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Rough-in Ongoing in Area A & B
- Curtain Wall and Glass 80% Complete in Area B & C
- Geothermal Wells and header Piping 100% Completed
- Interior Metal Stud Framing 70% Complete
- Rubber Roof Membrane 100% Completed
- Exterior Weather Resistant Barrier 90% Complete
- Paving Activities Started Onsite with Installation of Concrete Curbs and Sidewalk at North Parking Lot
- Area B Center Lower Level: Multipurpose Room Concrete Slab Completed
Coming up in the Next Couple of Months:
- Start Interior Ceramic Tile Installation in Bathrooms
- Set AVAC Equipment in Penthouse
- Start Installation of Asphalt Paving
On March 3, 2020, voters in the College Community School District approved a $54M bond referendum to construct a new 5/6 building on 80 acres directly south of Prairie Point. Funds generated from the bond referendum in conjunction with SAVE dollars also include significant renovations to our current Prairie Creek building in preparation for our 9th graders and district programs.
