Requirements: 

• An Iowa teaching license, or a substitute teacher license, or paraeducator certification.
• To acquire a substitute authorization license, you will need:
  • An associate’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 60 college credits completed through a regionally accredited college or university
  • Complete the substitute authorization course
  • And be at least 20 years of age.
