Registration for the Let Me Run Boys Running Club is now open for the Fall 2025 season. Let Me Run runners will train 2 times a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 2:45-4:00 starting on Tuesday 9/23, working towards the Miles in the Maize 5k on 11/8. The club lasts for 7 weeks, and registration fills up quickly.

We are inviting teen drivers with learner’s permits and their parents/guardians to participate in a research study at the University of Iowa that is testing a parent-focused teen driving program. This program seeks to help parents/guardians better prepare their teens for independent driving by focusing on training teens to anticipate hazards on the road before they become critical. Participation requires two 90-minute visits to the Driving Safety Research Institute in Coralville, IA. The visits involve using a state-of-the-art driving simulator and answering online questionnaires. Parents/guardians and teens will each be paid $70 for completing all study procedures. *Recruitment is currently underway and ongoing through October*

After a short information session, stick around for one of our favorite traditions — the Fall Pack Rocket Launch! Watch as Cub Scouts send their high-flying rockets soaring into the sky.

Prairie Soccer Club’s Fall 2025 youth soccer league is for kids ages 4-12 that want to learn soccer skills and learn to use those skills in weekly games. The league is for 8 weeks and each week the kids will have a 30-minute soccer skills session followed by a game. The games will be 3v3 or 4v4 based on the ages of the kids. The league begins September 7 and ends October 26.
