On January 20, 2026, the Cedar Rapids Prairie FFA chapter celebrated its 6th annual FFA Jacket Ceremony in the high school auditorium. The event awarded 48 deserving students with a personalized FFA jacket.

To earn their jackets, generously sponsored by Hills Bank, students completed interviews demonstrating their passion for agricultural education. During the ceremony, FFA Advisor and 2025 Golden Owl recipient Laura Brecht, spoke on the jacket’s symbolism: leadership, service, and a lifelong dedication to the industry.

With their new jackets, these students are stepping into a future filled with opportunities to grow as leaders and advocates for agriculture.
