Even as cold winter temperatures settle in outside, progress continues inside the Prairie Summit YMCA as the building steadily takes shape. Warmer conditions indoors are allowing crews to remain hard at work, particularly in the aquatics areas. The recreation pool is nearing completion, and the competition pool has been fully installed. Crews are now placing backfill material around the pool in preparation for the upcoming concrete pool slab pour, expected in the next few weeks. Behind the scenes, the aquatics systems rely on miles of piping to keep water moving, filtered, and properly treated.

Throughout the rest of the facility, important behind-the-scenes work is moving forward. The elevator is nearing completion, while mechanical and electrical systems continue to be installed in the turf, basketball, and fitness areas.
