At Camp Tanager, kids ages 6 to 11 unplug from screens and plug into real fun—like swimming, team-building games, group adventures, and fresh weekly themes that keep things exciting all summer long!
Our Free Overnight Summer Camp Program is available to families that qualify for free/reduced school meals and offers weekly sessions June 7 to August 7—so there’s plenty of time to play, grow, and make amazing new friends! For our youngest campers (5-7 years) we also offer a 2 day overnight program to give them a short but fun packed camp experience!

Curious about joining Cub Scouts? Come try broomball with us and get more info! Saturday, Feb. 21st from 1-2pm at the Imon Ice Arena (RoughRiders Ice Rink). This event is open to Pack 214 and Pack 37 members and FREE to K-4th kids interested in joining! Participants will need to bring a bike helmet and wear tennis shoes (all other equipment will be provided). This is a fun, low-pressure opportunity for families to learn more about each pack while enjoying time on the ice. Information
Teens Go STEM is a free educational program open to students in 9th-12th grades. During the program, students will explore health care careers while engaging with medical and health sciences students and professionals through career focused breakout sessions, tours, and medical simulations. There will also be a focus on health care skills, critical issues impacting Iowa’s health care, health literacy and how to pursue a career in health care. Registered students must be accompanied by an adult. While students are participating in STEM programming, adults will be offered discussions and resource sessions with University of Iowa experts.
