oin us for an exciting afternoon as we celebrate the incredible achievements of NewBoCo’s local Girls Who Code participants. After 10 weeks of hands-on learning, the participants will unveil their unique light display creations, designed for local businesses in Cedar Rapids. This event will showcase their programming skills and highlight the importance of fostering young talent in tech.
Event kickoff is at CSPS at 4:15
Locations: Lu’s Deli, Crosby’s, Raygun, Hangry Lady, Mode, CSPS, Parlor City, Almost Famous.
This celebration marks a milestone, not only for NewBoCo’s Girls Who Code club but also for the Cedar Rapids community. We aim to inspire more girls to explore coding and connect local businesses with future collaboration opportunities.
As you enjoy shopping for loved ones and supporting small businesses in our community, take a moment to ENJOY the lights during the holidays, proudly displayed at participating locations!

Information
CoderDojo is a free program for kids from kindergarten to 5th grade. Children can freely explore any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) themed stations, with mentors available to help them get started, allowing your child to learn and explore on their own.
The StarLabs Planetarium experience includes pre-programmed movies and demonstrations on a variety of space topics. The dome can fit up to 30 people, a combination of adults and children. Participants are expected to sit cross-legged on the floor. The dome can accommodate participants with walkers, wheelchairs, and regular chairs.
