House to celebrate the opening of the New Prairie Creek Intermediate School. The new
building opened this fall for incoming 5th and 6th graders and is located directly south of
Prairie Point at 8451 Kirkwood BLVD SW. The evening will include a Ribbon Cutting at 5 PM
followed by student-led tours -

Fresh Air After School at Indian Creek is a drop-off immersive nature experience. Children will go on learning adventures on T, W, Th after school with experienced ICNC educators. Children will spend ample time outdoors exploring and learning at the Nature Center’s 200-acre classroom.

We are excited to begin online registration for the 23-24 Hammerin’ Hawks Wrestling Club on Sept. 4th. The Hammerin’ Hawks Wrestling Club is a non-profit, parent-run organization dedicated to instructing participants in the concepts and techniques of wrestling. The club’s goal is to provide an educational and challenging environment for kids of all skill levels. All Prairie kids, PreK-8th, girls and boys, are encouraged to join. Please note, girl participants may participate in any practice they choose, the girls-only practice offers a setting for girls not wishing to practice with boys. The season begins in October and ends in March with our awards banquet. All are welcome!

**Clinic dates: Tuesday, September 19th and Wednesday, September 20th, 3:45-6:00 pm
*Performance: Friday, Sept 22nd at the Prairie High School football game.*
Cost: $45 per youth cheerleader.
(registration includes: t-shirt, poms, tattoo, snack, 2023 cheer poster and youth cheerleader’s admission to the game)Register by September 6th by 8am in order to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Registration closes on Monday, September 18th at 12pm
Youth cheerleaders will meet the high school cheerleaders in their school’s gym after school and then head to the grassy area outside. After receiving their t-shirts, participants will be split by age and get individual attention learning what it means to be a Prairie Cheerleader, Youth cheerleaders will learn cheers, jumps, how to spirit, and get to participate in some basic stunting. This has become a favorite event for our Prairie Cheer Squads, We can’t wait to meet your cheerleader! Go Hawks!! #weareprairie
