CoderDojo is a free program for kids from kindergarten to 5th grade. It offers various stations with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) activities.
Join us and the Iowa Children’s Museum for Ramps and Pathways. Students and families will engineer ramps (or inclined planes) to propel balls and experiment with forces. Children will use various blocks, balls and planes to build ramps that are capable of moving a ball without pushing it!Please register for this event so we can adequately prepare.

CoderDojo is a free, hands-on program designed for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade who are curious about STEM. Join us and the Iowa Ceramics Center for Creative Clay for Kids – 60 minute workshops tailored to the student’s age and interests. Choose from fun, hands-on projects like pinch pot monsters, coil bowls, or mythical creatures—perfect for all skill levels. Not only are we creating art, but also learning about the science of heating clay and the chemical reaction that occurs to harden it.
Please register for this event so we can adequately prepare. This event is capped at 40 participants.

Register for our 2026-2027 Prairie Poms Teams! Our Varsity team competes locally, regionally, and nationally. Our Junior Varsity and Junior High teams will compete locally and regionally. We are looking for students with a passion for dance and the willingness to work hard and be part of something GREAT! Our season begins in the Summer once school has ended and goes through Winter with breaks in between. Varsity and Junior Varsity perform on the sidelines at all Varsity home football games and Varsity performs at 2 halftimes. Junior High will join HS teams on the track for the Homecoming game. This is a great opportunity to be competitive in dance through your school and represent Prairie with pride! Register today to get your information packet.

Join us for our youth dance clinic this February!
AK – 8th grade are welcome!
$40 clinic fee – includes a clinic t-shirt, 1 dance routine choreographed by a Prairie Pom, and 1 ticket to the showcase on Thursday, February 19th.
AK-5th grade – you will learn a dance taught by multiple Prairie Pom dancers and learn how to spirit and shine on that stage!
NEW this year 6th-8th graders! Interested in joining Prairie Junior High Poms? A special clinic and technique class will be taught by Varsity Coaches, Sarah and Mady. Dancers will also perform a pom routine the night of showcase! -
